Making wedding videos cool

I'm all about making wedding videos fun. I want to document the beauty of the day, the pretty looks, the little moments that make up your story but also want to cover the daft moments, the silly bits - your uncles and aunties dancing, your best mates doing shots at the bar - because alongside the traditional moments, those are the bits you'll want to remember.

FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

Who films us?

I (Lauren) run A Piece of the Party and film the majority of the weddings we cover. If I'm unable to film it for any reason, I will make it clear at the time of booking and ensure one of my team is able to cover the event instead.

How many people will be filming?

All of the packages are filmed by two camera operators - myself and one of my small, brilliant team of fellow TV producers.

What do you film?

From towards the end of bridal preparation and groom prep through until 45 minutes past the first dance.

Don't worry though, there's no clock watching and we will only leave when we feel we have everything to create a video that you LOVE. If you would like filming until the end of the night, this can be arranged from £250 per hour.

When will the film be ready?

Your Sneak Peek video will be delivered within two weeks of the wedding, just in time to wash away those post Honeymoon blues.

When will we receive the films?

Delivery of the rest of the content takes between 10-12 weeks  It can be a little longer during busier periods but I will ensure I keep you updated throughout the process. Much as I'm keen for you to have it, I also don't want to rush your brilliant video.

How will we receive our films?

A link to your films will be privately uploaded to our hosting site and I advise all clients to download a copy of it. USB copies can be provided for £25 per stick.

What about music?

Before the big day I'll ask you to email over a selection of songs you're particularly keen to use and I'll then choose the tracks that suit the day the best. If you don't have any preferences, I can select them for you.

What about travel and accommodation?

I am happy to travel up to two hours outside of London.

Sometimes I will require accommodation overnight prior to the wedding depending on the location. If this is the case, I will let you know on booking. Any destinations more than 50 miles from Kingston, Surrey will require petrol cover.

It won't feel like a film set will it?

My filming is very much a reportage style - telling the story rather than producing it, so there will be no retakes or asking you to do things again - I just capture what happens.

I do my best to blend in and only work with a team of two unless filming a wedding with more than 200 people. However, I appreciate I'll be with you for a fair amount of the day, so you will know I'm there but it certainly won't feel like a film set - more like a friend with a camera capturing your favourite moments (and helping find your sunglasses/bouquet/Granny when needed!)

If there's a shot we're not keen on, can we alter it?

Absolutely. I offer a round of small changes after your first viewing of the video
